This lesson is based on the book "Me and My place in Space" by Joan Sweeney. To being this lesson the teacher should read the book to students. In the video of the read aloud on this page I had students clap when they heard a certain word being read out. This ensures that students are engaged and paying attention during the story. 

After the read aloud the teacher will then transition to a presentation on different vocabulary words that relate to the story. The presentation software I used for this was NearPod. I recorded both the read aloud and the presentation using Screen Cast O'Matic. 

A fun activity to do with the presentation would be to fill out a vocabulary booklet on their words. This can be done through a software like Google Docs or on physical paper.
