Is Reading Really That Important?

Reading is very important! It is so important in fact that you can’t have subjects such as Math, Science, and Social Studies without it. Reading allows students to understand what is being said, internalize the information, and apply the information. Although it helps develop specific skills essential for learning, reading can have a very profound affect on students. There are such a variety of books can reach the students interests and further cause them to investigate areas of interests. Books are also a tool in which students can use to make connections with their own personal experiences. Getting the right book into a student’s hands can cause them to fall in love with reading. So, yes reading is very important!
